The National 3.15 Democratic Cometary

The National 3.15 Democratic Cometary The 3.15 Democracy Cemetery was established on March 15, 1960 for the spirits of the fallen patriots who fought against oppose of unfair election of corrupted and long-term power plot of the former dictatorial government of present Lee Seung-man and to pay a tribute to a loft will which was a blasting fuse for 3.15 Movement and to succeed the spirit of Masan citizens who admire freedom, democracy and justice.
The National 3.15 Democratic Cemetery is a place to respect and pay tribute to praise noble souls of those who died for the country and a place to practice historical education of demonetization that should be hand down the spirit of 3.15 Movement which was a safeguard for civil right to the future generation. It is a sacred precinct for the entire citizens to worship.

Jeodo (Island) Land Bridge

Jeodo (Island) Land Bridge A beautiful new Jeodo Land Bridge, resembling a blacked-tailed gull, the progenitor of Masan, has launched its service on December 16, 2004. It was reconstructed as a unique landmark that would symbolize Masan, harmonizing with Gusan-myeon's graceful natural scenery. 12.6 billion won of national outlay and the city expense of 3.1 billion won of total 15.8 billion won were invested on the newly built bridge that is constructed right beside the previous land bridge, taking total 2 years to construct since it start on July 2002. The new bridge is comprised with two-way round road and a pedestrian road in the length of 182m and width of13m. While it symbolizes Masan by portraying black-tailed gull, the progenitor, it harmonizes with the great surrounding geographical areas and beaches, mountains of Gusan-myeon area. To emphasize the beauty of arch curve, the bridge is installed with optical cable lights around the center of the black-tailed gull attempting to produce night scenery in various colors by time and by each season.

Dotsom (Island) Ocean Recreation Park

Jeodo (Island) Land Bridge According to a legend, there were a King of Garak kingdom looking for his lost loving royal concubine at Dotsome but instead the King found a golden pig that behaved badly to people. The King ordered his force to kill the gold pig and kept searching for the concubine but found human bones everywhere. Another legend tells that whenever the Dotsom was surrounded by golden lights, people would often disappear in no certain reason. Later Cho Chi-won killed the golden pig from Wolyongdae and all the worries are gone. The Dotsom however, looks like a turtle looking from far away unlike its name Do-ya-ji Island (Pig Island). It portrays as if it is crawling to a land, harmonizing the shape of Muhaksan (Mt. Muhak) of Masan, sits opposit of a crane and turtle which symbolizes eternal life calling it as "Jangsujisae Bugongjicho". However, there are many Recreation and service facilities in Dotsom regardless of the legends.

Masan-yuk (station) Public Park

Masan-yuk (station) Public Park The public park, a barrier-gate and symbol of Masan has renovated to a recreation area for the citizens.
The newly renovated park, opened on January 2003 is in size of 9,920m2 (Approximately 3,000 pyong), changed the previous flat concrete ground to a green space, laid with 32m diameter rose pattern ground material in the center, the park looks more sophisticated and there is a 8m diameter ground fountain at the center part.
The fountain is constructed with 41 lights in various colors offering fantastic fountain show for the citizens.

Seowongok Recreation Park

Seowongok Recreation Park There is a lengthily stretched out valley between the eastern part of Mt. Muhak and thick forests are formed on the both side of valleys.
As if exposing its bare skin, clean water is flowing between rocks of the white valley. The citizens love the park as a recreation place throughout the four seasons and the name Seowongok conjures up it came from Hwewon Hall that used to be at the place in the past.
Gwanhaejung is at Seowongok and an old Gingko tree is standing next to it. It is also a main entrance to the Mt. Muhak.

Palyong Park

Palyong Park The Palyong park is (328 above the sea level) one of the typical parks in Masan of its graceful natural scenery and natural park situated in the southern skirt.
The approaching road starting from the main entrance in the southern part to Bongam storing reservoir is popular for its grateful sight as it preserves a thick coniferous forest.
The storing reservoir situated in the southern part is formed in mixed forest like a coniferous forest, an acacia, Alnus japonica and oak trees.
While the peak is formed in a mixed forest of young coniferous and latifolious, other parts of the area is still remained as empty lot but regardless of the current condition, a sight is magnificent because is provides to view the whole area of Masan and the port.

Sanho Park

Sanho Park In the 'street of poem', there sits a monument inscribed with poems that portrays great pieces of which Lee Eun-sang of Gagopa including Lee Won-soo of Autumn in Hometown, Kim Soo-dong, the King of melancholy, the composer Lee Il-rae of San-Toe-Gi (A rabbit) of children's song, Kim Yong-ho of lyricism of May, Jung Jin-eup who sang image of a reed, Park Jae-ho who demonstrated an everyday affair of separation and an encounter through a whistle stop, Kim Tae-hong who reviled permanence of Gwanhaejung that follows Masan strike oil.

Yangdeuk Samgakji Park

Yangdeuk Samgakji Park Yangdeuk Samgakji Park, tall pine tree of Nakrang, tens of thousands flower trees that will soon blossom, a thick forest and an awesome ground fountain has unveiled itself on 6,452 pyong size of land as a recreation park in an urban area.
After some 9 months construction, it is now preparing and positioning itself as a place that provides relaxation to the citizens by finishing the last green project on March 2004. Located at 412-7 Yangdeok-dong area, it is expected that the park will breathe in natural energy where there are heavy traffic congestions and large department stores.
