Jeokseoksan Mountain rises after butting up a large rock ridge when the mountain hill flowing south from Gitdae hill turned its direction to east again.
The name is given as it looks like a pile of rocks, but is also called Jeok Mountain.
The surrounding of the peak formed by big rocks present steep slope, but most of the hills are.

How to reach the peak

Ilam-ri Course

The national road to Jinju from Masan, before it passes Ibanseong-myeon, a concrete paved road that is to the mountain direction is spread to the reservoir. This reservoir is the starting point for mountain climbing. There are two ways to the summit. One is to directly climb the ridge, and the other is to walk along the farm road that is at the foot of the mountain and through the main hill to the summit. The direct climbing course is very steep, and takes about 1 hour. However, the second course is more fun to climb, while it takes a little bit more time than direct climbing. It is fun to climb up the rock hills. Most of the mountain climbers park the cars near the reservoir

Oksugol Course

Samdeok reservoir is seen when the national road to Tongyeong passes Goseong Tunnel, and there is Oksugol in the northern tip of the reservoir. Follow the former national road from Oksu rest area and you will see the entrance to Oksugol. There is a valley to the left when you walk for about 5 minutes from there. There is a sloped mountain ridge when you come up along the path for about 20 minutes, and the main hill after tough climbing for about 40 minutes. It will take another 20 minutes to the peak, and the total time required is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Walking along the ridge is available for Gitdaebong and Jeokseoksan Mountain.

Masan -> TongyeongoGoseong direction national road -> Jindong -> Jinjeon -> Jinju direction -> Yangchon

Sights

There are 3 public baths at Yangchon village before Ilam Village, and they are concentrating on hot spring development.
Many tourists visit Daejeong Village across Ilam Village, where the seasoned pork is famous.
