Gwangryeosan Mountain

• Height : 720.2m above sea level
• Location : Between Naeseo-eub Masan and Yeohang-myeon Haman

This mountain is forming a boundary between Masan city and Haman-gun, and is covered by Muhak Mountain. Hence not many mountain climbers are aware of the mountain, but it provides with various fun factors of climbing. Many think that the ridges next to Satgat-bong are the peak, but Satgat-bong is higher. Santu-bong, behind Samgye village in Naeseo-eub is also giving alternation to the wrinkles of this mountain, but the physical aspect is smooth. The Southern hills succeed to Muhak Mountain hills and head north to cover Gamcheon Village and forms Oksu valley.
The Eastern hills flow to Haman-gun, and the Norht opens the physical aspect to send the mountain energy to Yeohang Mountain.
On the map, it is indicated as Gwangro Mountain, but it is not correct. The name of the valley that flows to Naeseo-eub combining Jeolgol and Oksu Valley is also Gwangryeo watercourse.

How to reach the mountain peak

Gwangsansa Course

There is a course that follows from Naeseo-eub Shinmok-ri Jeolgol Gwangsansa, along the valleys A waterfall is seen after 20 minutes walking from the mineral spring along the valleys, and approach Eastern hills after 30 minutes along the right slope. You should walk another 20 minutes along the left ridgeline to reach the peak. (Time required: 1 hour and 20 minutes)

Daesan Course

There is a site for stock farm and a deserted house along the way to Ssaljae from Yegok-dong Masan or Wolyeong-dong Mannaljae.
You will see the upper leveled land (Baramjae) after walking around the hillside at the back for about 20 minutes.
Pass the leveled ground and climb the slope to see the peak, and you will see the peak of Gwangryeo Mountain if you climb along the Southern hill.

Other Course

There is a course directly to the peak at Naegok Village in Yeohang-myeon Haman-gun, and a ridge course to the peak from the ridge behind Samgye Village in Naeseo-eub (Samgey Elementary School) to pass the big mountain (Sangtubong) to the peak.
It takes 2 hours to Sangtubong, and another hour from there to Gwangryeo Mountain. You can take about an hour to have lunch and relax at Gwangryeo Mountain and from there to Dae Mountain takes about 90 minutes. And from Dae Mountain to Mannal Hill takes another 90 minutes. It takes about 7 hours total to walk along the mountain ridges.

Mountain Climbing Guide

The course from Gwangsansa, along the right valley to the peak and down to Ssaljae is suitable. (About 4 hours required)
It takes about 40 minutes from Ssalja-Mannaljae -Wolyeong-dong.

Transportation

There is a local bus from downtown to Gamcehon, and it takes about 40 minutes from Wolyeong-dong to Ssaljae passing by Mannaljae.
